Their music is a bold expression. They’re rebels in a way—deeply rooted in the power of past sounds but always reaching toward the future. Their music pays homage to the past, but they’re not stuck there. Their music is for right now.
Described as a “fusion of old-school harmonies and lush, modern textures,” Detroit Bohemian’s sound evokes the spirit of the genre-crossing anthems that carried a generation through the turbulent ’70s and ’80s. Their upcoming release, a cover of the iconic hit “Sign Your Name” by Sananda Maitreya (formerly known as Terrence Trent D’Arby), is both a glowing tribute to that musical era and a call to arms for the present—honoring the legacy of great artists while amplifying the voices and feelings of today.
